Referrer

This agreement details your obligations to us and our obligations to you, in respect of your participation in this Referral programme.

When you provide your details or make a Referral You agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement.

The Referral Programme

We Animal Friends Insurance operate this Referral Programme which allows You to refer a Product to a friend or relative (the “Recipient”). If the Recipient subsequently purchases a Product then you and they may receive an incentive (which may be in the form of an electronic payment to your bank account (‘Moneyback’) or vouchers).

In order to receive this Incentive You need to comply with the Terms of this Agreement.

Making Referrals

This Referral Programme is designed to allow you to recommend products or services to your friends or relatives that you believe to be of interest. In order to do this you are required to provide us with their email address. It is important that you have the Recipient’s permission to provide their contact details to us. If you are not sure that they would be happy to receive the offer from us then you should not provide their details.

You are asked to confirm that you have the Recipient’s permission to provide their contact details each time you make a Referral and you represent and warrant to us that the recipient has consented to receive it.

The offer presented to the recipient within the referral email will expire 30 days after it has been generated.

Please note, the Recipient must click the link on the referral email for the Referrer to be eligible for the reward. Insurance policies bought through other email marketing sources shall not be deemed as a valid sale.

How the Referral Programme works

This Referral Programme uses a marketing hyperlink which is incorporated into the referral email, and other links to the Our Website. To be eligible for the Incentive the Recipient must click the hyperlink provided in order to visit Our Website. Your friend must also accept the cookie policy when visiting our website. When your friend clicks the link in the referral email, a cookie will be saved on their browser providing us with the ability to relate any subsequent purchase or application to your referral. You will only receive the incentive when your friend’s transaction has been validated. Please see the FAQs for examples of reasons why a Transaction may not be validated.

We endeavour to ensure that the Incentives shown are correct at the time of publishing; however we make no guarantee that these will be valid at the time a Transaction is completed. The actual Incentive that you receive will depend on the Incentive available when the transaction is completed. We reserve the right to change the Incentives without notice.

All transactions are electronically tracked by third party software providers and reported back to us. We endeavour to ensure all transactions are reported back to us accurately, however we will not be held responsible for any errors beyond our control that may occur during the tracking and validation process. Where an error does occur, we will use our reasonable endeavours to investigate it and ensure that we are able to provide you with the correct incentive for the Transaction. However, we make absolutely no guarantee that this will be possible.

All matters surrounding the goods or services purchased by the Recipient are exclusively between the Recipient and Us. We make no guarantee that the Recipient will be able to complete a Valid Transaction with the Advertiser

This Referral Programme cannot be used in conjunction with any other third party promotions, discounts or voucher schemes.

Only referrals generated using the automated Reward Scheme system are valid. If any Recipients of a referral email forward it to a third party, neither you nor they will receive a Reward for any Qualifying New Customers purchasing the product or service in response to the forwarded email.

Policies must be purchased online via the link in the referral email to qualify for the incentive.

Type of policy eligible for a reward

Basic, Prime, Prime Plus, Superior, Superior Plus and Prestige policies are eligible for a reward.

Incentives will not be paid when the recipient purchases an Accident Only policy

Claiming Your Incentive

You must provide a valid, active email address. All communication will be made via email. We cannot be held responsible for an invalid email address or other problems relating to the delays to the delivery of or non-receipt of emails, including the effect of spam filters. Once a Valid Transaction has been completed, you will receive a Successful Sale Email detailing how to claim your Incentive.

Where the Incentive is claimed in the form of an offline voucher, we cannot be held responsible for vouchers which are lost or damaged during transmission. Where the Incentive is in the form of cashback, we will arrange for payment to be made by electronic transfer. You will be required to provide the details of the bank account into which you wish us to process the payment. We will not be held responsible for payments that cannot be processed due to you providing incorrect bank details.

Any personal data collected during this process will be collected, stored and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy which is available on our Website or by clicking this link.

You must claim Your Incentive within 60 days of receiving the Successful Sale Email.

Enquiries

If you believe that a Valid Transaction has been completed by your Recipient but you have not received the Incentive, we will endeavour to investigate the corresponding Transaction.

You can raise an enquiry on a completed transaction through our enquiry system, which can be accessed via the link at the end of the FAQs. We will only be able to investigate enquires when all requested information is provided.

If you have not received a Successful Sale Email then you will need to click the FAQ link within the Referral Confirmation Email and select ‘Raise an Enquiry’. You will need to provide the email address that you used to make the Referral along with details of your friend’s purchase. The precise transaction details will depend upon the Advertiser.

This offer is open to the residents of the UK, over 18 years of age only and is governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

We are not liable for any tax-related matters concerning the incentive
